Norwalk State Representative Larry Cafero says the Legislature remains, unfortunately, in limbo. Cafero says this is the second consecutive year the General Assembly has not voted on a budget. Cafero says it is puzzling the Governor has put forth two budgets, which Democrats could not vote on. He says the Democrats were unable to push forward a vote even for a budget of their own. Cafero says time is becoming critical, as the fiscal year has less than threee weeks left, with the state facing a near billion dollar deficit, and over $8 billion for the next two years. Cafero says he is concerned that while other states have the ability to put a budget in place, Connecticut seems to be having trouble.
