The former Rogers Magnet School building in Stamford may have new tenants soon. The school was closed earlier this year making way for a new magnet school in the cove. Stamford Mayor Dan Malloy says the building, at 83 Lockwood Avenue, may become the new home of Trailblazers Academy, a charter school that teaches middle schoolers, now located at Wright Tech.

Malloy also says that Childcare Learning Centers, a non profit pre-school, will also establish a location on the property by using unused modular classrooms now stored at Rippowam High School.

On top of that Malloy says a city community center could also be established. Leases should be submitted to the Planning Board, Board of Finance and the entire Board of Representatives by weeks end. .
