Norwalk Democratic State Senator Bob Duff is saying no to his party's biannual budget.Duff is adament that his party's budget, in it's present form. creates an unfair balence of suffering against residents of Fairfield County Duff wants the rest of the state to stop treating Fairfield County like a "rich uncle." Duff further cites higher costs of living and much higher taxes for Fairfieldresidents, in comparison with other state areas.

The Democrats biannual budget is at least 37 billion dollars and adds new taxes as well as stated cuts of  3.5 billion dollars. Governor Rell, a Republican, has long accused the Democrats of not going far enough in budget cuts and relying instead on taxes. Rell has long felt that raising taxes for Connecticut citizens is a bad thing to do in the current recession.
