According to Westport Police, the body of a woman was found in the Saugatuck River, spotted by a rower, who quickly alerted authorities. Police say the woman was homeless and in her sixties, and her personal belongings were found at the riverside. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the exact cause of death, but authorities believe the woman slipped and fell down an embankment into the water. They say there is no sign of foul play in the incident.
