Stamford Mayor Lauds Police for Terror Arrests
Stamford Mayor Dan Malloy is very proud of the city's police for their participation leading to the arrests of four terror suspects. The four men, taken into custody for alledgedly plotting to bomb two synagogues in New York, attempted to get their explosives in Stamford at a warehouse on May 6th. The suspects thought they were working with Pakistani terrorists but they were working with an FBI informant. The FBI asked the Stamford Police to participate in the sting because, according to Malloy, they had developed a trusting relationship with the department. The Mayor also explained that the police department has a reputation for working well with others and for keeping a secret.
