Darien Police Seeking Hit and Run Driver

Darien Police need your help in finding a driver that struck a jogger yesterday morning. The hit and run incident happened on Tokeneke Road at approximately 6:50 am. A 38 year old unidentified woman was struck and seriously injured at the Cliff Avenue intersection. The woman was transported to Norwalk Hospital. Her injuries are not considered life threatening. Darien Police say the vehicle did not stop after hitting the jogger and was last seen on Route 136 in Rowayton. The vehicle is described as a dark colored Honda Civic with after market wheels, possible tinted windows and New York registration plates. The car has extensive front end damage as well as damage to the windshield. Anyone with information about the incident are asked to call Darien Police Detectives at 203-662-5330.
