State Senator Bob Duff, Vice Chair of the General Assembly's Transportation Committee, says the stare has wasted $630,000 in taxpayer funds to conduct an audit of the New Haven Rail Maintenance Facility, as there was no new information to be shared. He says the whole idea is to correct funding shortfalls on the project. Duff adds, he hopes there will be a detailed plan in place for the Transportation Committee's oversight hearing with the department, which is scheduled for next week.
