Hearings This Week Concerning Department of Children and Families

The second round of legislative hearings this week concerning the State Department of CHiuldren and Families. The Legislature's Children's and Human Services Committees addressed D.C.F. Commissioner Susan Hamilton about calls for reorganization of the agency and changes in management. Hamilton says the agency should always be looking to improve itself.She says the reality should not be equated with the misperception that the system is in crisis or failing. Hamilton says the current leadership and management team, along with their staff, are well-qualified and committed to furthering and advancing the department's mission.
