Stamford Finance Member Questions Generator Problems
The emergency generator at Stamford High School was not properly installed two years ago and the problem is going to cost $49,000 to fix. Board of Finance member Joe Tarzia is demanding Mayor Dannel Malloy require AFB Consulting to foot the bill rather than taxpayers.
"The taxpayers deserve to get their money back," Tarzia says. "You don't just go into the taxpayers' pockets everytime someone messes up."
Tarzia believes AFB should be held accountable for non-performance, adding the group's longstanding relationship with the Mayor doesn't sit well with him.
