UBS says it plans to separate its investment bank and asset/wealth management divisions. While the future of the Swiss banking giant is uncertain, Mayor Dan Malloy says there is no cause for alarm. Malloy says the Stamford operation is not doing as poorly as some others around the world. He says although UBS is not as robust as it was last year, many corporations restructure without selling. Malloy adds, in the current climate, there aren't very many banks that are thriving as it pertains to stock value.
