Historical Society Wins in Weston
The Historical Society got its way in Weston. The roof of the town hall in Weston will be replaced with slate. Currently, the roof of the historical building is leaking so badly that containers are brought out to catch leaks whenever it rains. Low cost was the major factor for the Board of Selectman in Weston which was hoping for a less expensive alternative, but history wins out to the tune of over 600-thousand dollars. An asphalt roof would have saved well over 100-thousand dollars for the town.
