Board of Education Meeting in Norwalk
Sal Corda, Norwalk schools superintendent will present a draft of an overall school improvement plan at the 7:45 PM meeting. The Board is expected to debate it.
The plan's background is Norwalk schools failure to comply with standards set by the no child left behind act. Corda intends to focus the plan on three areas: literacy, numeracy and getting parents and the public more involved in school affairs.
Corda says improvements are already underway and he's determined to have the Board of Education pass the plan in September.
