A Possible John McCain-Joe Lieberman Ticket?
While Senator Lieberman says he does not expect to be approached by Republican presidential nominee John McCain to be his running mate, Lieberman has made no indication that he would not accept. Lieberman says he plans to continue his vow of silence regarding any hypotheticals on the issue. He says representing the state is both what he wants and expects to be doing in January. In the meantime, Governor Jodi Rell will attend next week's convention, and says she is eager to see who McCain will choose. Rell says she believes McCain will choose who he feels is most suitable for the job. Rell adds she will be interested to see any impact from Barack Obama's decision not to choose Hillary Clinton as his running mate.
