A Bit of Hollywood in Hartford This Week

Entertainment  industry representatives met in Hartford to discuss plans to further attract the film industry to Connecticut. Kevin Segalla, President of the Connecticut Film Center in Norwalk, says the Hollywood East Task Force is designed not only to bring movie productions to the state--but also to provide jobs. Segalla says efforts to employ qualified workers in the industry are improving increasingly. The Office for Workforce Competitiveness offered a  month-long program at 3 colleges this summer, to train people for work in the film industry.
