CT Blue Laws Affect Alcohol Sales
If you enjoy having a drink on July 4th and if you are a Connecticut Resident, now is the time to shop. The advocate today is reiterating a long-standing Connecticut Law that prohibits alcohol sales on certain holidays and on Sundays.
This kind of law is called a "blue law" and has been in effect for many years. Connecticut is one of only five states still enforcing this type of prohibition.

Connecticut state law does allow liquor stores to open on July 4th if it falls on a Saturday.
