When not on the air, host Lisa Wexler practices law in Westport, Connecticut. She is admitted to the New York and Connecticut Bars. Ms. Wexler received her Bachelor of Arts from The Johns Hopkins University in 1981 and her Juris Doctorate from The New York University School of Law in 1984. While at NYU School of Law, Ms. Wexler won the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in Constitutional Law. She served on the Westport Planning and Zoning Commission from 1997-1999 and was elected to the Westport Zoning Board of Appeals in 1999, completing a four-year term. Ms. Wexler also served on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Center of Norwalk, Westport, Wilton and Weston. In 2001, she was recognized as a finalist for the Athena Award, given to women of accomplishment in their community.
Ms. Wexler received her certificate from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting in January of 2006. "The Lisa Wexler Show " is the realization of her dream to return to the airwaves, having been absent from the mike since college days.
Lisa Wexler has been married for 25 years to the same guy, Bill Wexler, and has two children, Jon and Joanna. They share their home with their Bichon, Sugar.
