Stamford To Myanmar
The Stamford-based AmeriCares is waiting from the go-ahead from Myanmar officials to send supplies over to the cyclone-ravaged country. The international relief group has sent medicinal items like antibiotics over to Amsterdam and is waiting on approval from Myanmar to forward the supplies. AmeriCares officials say it's hard coordinating relief efforts there since communications have been cut and the infrastructure destroyed.
