The Math Gets Worse For Hillary

If you didn't pay any attention over the weekend to the news of the Democratic Presidential race, Barack Obama kept pulling in enough superdelegates that he now leads Hillary Clinton in that category, too.

For months, it was the superdelegates that were going to be the savior for Clinton, but now, that edge has been erased, as Obama slowly, but surely heads to the Democratic nomination.

Still, there has been no stampede of superdelegates to Obama, which is somewhat odd, since a big jump to him could end this race almost immediately.

What's clear is that most of the Congressional superdelegates who are staying on the fence are clearly hoping that the nominee will be picked without requiring their vote.

Therefore, they can honestly say they didn't pick one side over the other and they won't have to aggravate any Obama or Clinton supporters.

We are down to around 260 undecided superdelegates right now, as Barack Obama is about 160 delegates away from officially clinching the Democratic nomination.

The Obama team has a bit different total - they say their magic number is 155.  Regardless, he's going to get there soon enough.

But he would sure get there a lot quicker if the superdelegates would get off their rear-ends and endorse him.

On the other hand, with Obama still not to the magic number, that means Hillary can stay in the race and maybe Saturday Night Live can squeeze out a couple more spot on skits about the Clinton-Obama race.
