For the second straight week, Barack Obama won't be where voters have been casting primary ballots and will instead visit a state that's already voted this year.
Last week, Obama was in Missouri, while Hillary Clinton was proclaiming victory.
Tonight, Obama will be holding a rally in Des Moines, Iowa as he continues to put the focus on the general election campaign against John McCain.
There had been talk that Obama might use tonight's rally to claim victory in terms of a majority of pledged delegates. Whether he does or not, Obama still needs about 120 delegates to clinch the Democratic nomination.
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton will be in Louisville, Kentucky, where she hopes to celebrate another blowout win over Obama, just as she did last week in West Virginia.
Obama's schedule for the next few days is all November, as he goes to Florida for rallies and fundraisers on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
It's a state that Obama ignored during the early primary season because of the dustup over Florida's delegates and the timing of the Florida primary, which was too early for the tastes of the national Democratic Party.
Ironically, John McCain has now scheduled a visit to Florida as well this week, which makes me wonder if they did that on purpose, or if it was just a coinky-dinky.
Of course, when we get into that discussion right there, Hillary Clinton is on the outside looking in.
She'll pick up some delegates tonight as there are 103 available in Oregon (52) and Kentucky (51.) If she wins really big in Kentucky, she could even pick up delegates on Obama overall.
After today, there is Puerto Rico on June 1 and then Montana and South Dakota on June 3.
All signs point to Hillary continuing her super-duper-long-shot effort. We'll see after tonight.
