Hillary Hits The Road Again

Still arguing that she can find a way to win the Democratic nomination for President, Hillary Clinton is back on the campaign trail today, refusing to concede her race with Barack Obama.

A day after winning every single county in West Virginia, leading to a 41-point victory in that state, Clinton spent the day in Washington, D.C., meeting with advisers and superdelegates, and doing a host of TV interviews.

"We have a close, close race here," Clinton told Wolf Blitzer on CNN.

"The delegate difference is extremely narrow," added Clinton.

Once again though, Clinton's win on Tuesday did not spur a big move in terms of superdelegates to her side.  Instead it was Obama who grabbed four superdelegates during the day, moving him even closer to victory.

Obama even got a pledged delegate for Hillary Clinton from Maryland to switch sides, making the math all the more skewed in his favor.

Obama needs less than 135 delegates to clinch the nomination.  Clinton needs over 300.  So she needs to win big in all five primaries left and also take most of the available superdelegates.

Sure it could still happen.  But she needs the political version of the Immaculate Reception.

Clinton's schedule in coming days includes Oregon on Friday and Saturday.  Presumably she'll double back to Kentucky before that state votes as well on Tuesday the 20th.

After that, there's only Puerto Rico, Montana and South Dakota.

Three weeks from now, this should be over.  Even if the Lady In the Pantsuit isn't so sure.
