Route 7 Merritt Parkway Interchange
Some 150 Silvermine residents Wednesday urged the state Department of Transportation to re-think the planned Route 7/Merritt Parkway interchange project. The DOT has proposed a cloverleaf design which residents say is not the way to go. They're suggesting the Department take a closer look at an alternative plan which would not cut into residential areas as much. Another public hearing is scheduled for May 23 at Norwalk City Hall.
